AGC survey finds widespread recycling policies in place

An Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) survey on sustainability practices by construction companies found that 78% of respondents had policies that promote recycling, and 38% of respondents have a sustainability plan or statement. Nearly half have policies for materials reuse and 26% for environmentally friendly or sustainable purchasing.

The bag has a recycling symbol and the phrase "re-use" written on itThe survey found that 66% are using electric/battery-powered tools and would do so again, and 23% are considering using battery-powered generators. Currently, 14% report greenhouse gas emissions on one or more projects, and those that track emissions look at on-site fuel use such as diesel or gasoline, on-site water use, and on-site electricity use.
