A smoother approach for better productivity

Operators can load more trucks per shift, if their work environment is comfortable. That is why a smooth approach when loading trucks and auto-deceleration — which slows a wheel loader down when the operator releases the acceleration pedal — both contribute to overall productivity and efficiency.

WA900-8 Surface Mining Wheel Loader | A smoother approach for better productivity

The Komatsu WA900-8 surface mining wheel loader provides those features and also includes a new modulation clutch system, SmartLoader Logic and an automatic digging system. The digging system actuates bucket tilt and lifting operations by sensing the pressure applied to the work equipment, optimizing bucket loads.

Automatic dig, semi-automatic approach and automatic dump systems allow operators to focus on the travel path of the machine, rather than its operation. They can fill the bucket without touching the equipment levers, which reduces fatigue. A redesigned cab improves visibility.

Insider Tip: “A high-lift configuration to pair with 150-ton trucks is available, as well as optional add-ons that include KomVision for a bird’s-eye view of the machine and its surroundings,” said Sebastian Witkowski, Komatsu product marketing manager, surface mining.
